Sarah Palin Tuesday praised the first night of the Republican National Convention, saying on Facebook that "from 3,000 miles up north, it's good to hear the GOP Convention is going well."

"It should strengthen faith that real hope and positive change can be on the way for the next generation," said Palin, who is not speaking at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland this week.

She referenced how retired Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell stopped reading from the teleprompter and urged young people to make sacrifices for the nation, harking back to the media coverage when Palin's machine apparently malfunctioned during the 2008 convention in St. Paul, Minn.

Palin ended up reading from her prepared text because the teleprompter ran off course. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's remarks had run 13 minutes over.

"Funny, while I was just now looking up '08 media coverage of that broken teleprompter during my speech, it appears the lamestream media lied about the issue then, and still lies about it," she said. "The more things change, the more they stay the same with the LSM still just 'making things up!'

"Because I have a life and I ignore the media haters, I'd been unaware all these years that reporters denied the teleprompter glitch ever happened," Palin added. "Silly, silly irrelevant reporters."
