Zogby: Obama Approval Improves

Monday, 17 May 2010 04:04 PM EDT

President Obama's job performance passed 50 percent for the first time since February, according to a new Zogby Interactive survey.

The results of the survey, taken Friday through Monday, chronicled Obama’s three-point rise in a week.

Meanwhile, on the eve of crucial state primaries in Pennsylvania, Arkansas, and Kentucky, the poll found likely voters still deadlocked when it comes to generic congressional candidates.

The Zogby Interactive survey of 2,063 likely voters nationwide also discovered that, although the president may be headed into positive approval territory, 52 percent of likely voters still believe the nation is on the wrong track. Forty percent said it’s headed in the right direction.
