The heroic Navy SEAL who shot dead Osama Bin Laden has come out swinging at Sarah Huckabee Sanders for her praise of the Veteran's Administration, which he slammed as a "damn insult to vets!"
Robert O'Neill launched an angry tirade against the deputy White House press secretary on Twitter Wednesday, claiming the VA is so bad he pays for his own private health insurance and once had his wallet swiped at a VA facility.
O'Neill tweeted:
He also insinuated that Sanders only got the job as deputy White House secretary because of her father Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and two-time presidential candidate who is a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump.
O'Neill later tweeted that he was "too hard" on Sanders, but added she should take a look at the VA's "depressing dump" of a facility located near the White House.
O'Neill's wrath came after a Tuesday press briefing. Sanders slammed the media for going after Trump while ignoring positive news like "the success at the VA."
O'Neill was catapulted to hero status when it was revealed he was the Navy SEAL who pumped two bullets into bin Laden's head as part of a 2011 Team Six mission to kill the al-Qaida leader who masterminded the 9/11 attacks.
In April, Scribner published a book by O'Neill about the bid Laden operation, "The Operator: Firing the Shots that Killed Osama bin Laden and My Years as a SEAL Team Warrior."
