If you can’t beat ’em, try to beat ’em again. That appears to be the strategy of U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who has launched a write-in bid to maintain her seat after losing in the Alaska GOP primary to Joe Miller,
Politico reports. She blames the Tea Party Express for her loss.
And her latest ad features her supporters criticizing the grass-roots group.
“Wait, the Tea Party Express? Isn’t that the same California group that dumped half a million into Joe Miller’s campaign?” a man says in the ad.
A woman adds, “This is my chance, and Alaska’s chance, to get our senator back.”
The Tea Party Express says it’s coming back to Alaska on Miller’s behalf.
Meanwhile, another ad the Murkowski campaign launched Tuesday acknowledges the challenge of writing in her name. It’s a spelling clinic on how to spell. (Murkowski, not Lisa.)
