Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton took to Twitter on Wednesday and Thursday to respond to Republican Jeb Bush's use of the term "anchor babies," saying:
Another GOP hopeful, Mike Huckabee, responded to that on Fox News Channel's
"The Kelly File."
"I think it's interesting that Hillary Clinton would say they're called babies," Huckabee said. "I'm thinking, Hillary, have you seen the Planned Parenthood videos? They're called babies."
The left has protested the use of the term "anchor babies," which it calls a pejorative, for children born to illegal immigrants.
"For all of the leftists who are having a big problem talking about anchor babies, I'd love for them to have a real discussion on all babies," Huckabee said.
Americans aren't angry at illegal immigrants, he said, but at politicians who have done nothing to improve the economy.
"Yes, there's anger and frustration and people are just feeling it," Huckabee said. "It's anger at the federal government's failure to do anything to make the American dream live for them."
