Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore tweeted his belief that any lawmaker who doesn't support a ban on assault rifles should be removed from Congress.
Moore had tweeted earlier this week that he had "nothing to say that hasn't already been said" in the aftermath of the massacre in Orlando in which 49 people were killed by Omar Mateen.
But the filmmaker tweeted out four messages Tuesday night, one of which said public-viewing of the crime scene photos would be the best defense against the NRA.
Though officials later said the weapon used by Mateen was a Sig Sauer MCX semi-automatic, similar to the AR-15.
Moore, the "Bowling for Columbine" filmmaker, has been an outspoken advocate for gun control for many years.
