Billionaire Mark Cuban thinks the head of President Donald Trump's National Economic Council is leading a "Democratic invasion of the White House," Fox Business News reported Tuesday.
Cuban, the owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and star of ABC's "Shark Tank," thinks Trump is becoming more centrist, FBN reporter Charlie Gasparino said after interviewing Cuban.
Cuban has been among Trump's most vocal critics, but he's now "warming up" to the Trump presidency because he believes the president is much more "ideologically diverse," Gasparino told FBN.
"[Cuban] said that Gary Cohn … Trump's main economic advisor, who is responsible for a lot of this, is leading a 'Democratic invasion of the White House,'" Gasparino reported, according to Lifezette.
"[Cuban] told us, that based on his calculations, he's been looking at the non-military leadership of the Trump White House, the top people."
"There's about 50 percent of them that are Democrats, and he starts naming them: Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Gary Cohn, Steve Mnuchin. We can go on and on and on."
"For every Steve Bannon, who has been downgraded as we know, there's plenty more Democrats and centrists that are part of this administration who don't believe in supply-side economics."
Cohn remains a registered Democrat and was formerly president of Wall Street mega-giant Goldman Sachs, and has reportedly won expanded influence in the White House at the expense of chief strategist and leading populist voice Stephen Bannon, Gasparino noted.
"There's a thought out there, not just from conservatives, but from some liberals, is that he went for [tax reform] first instead of tax cuts because there's a Democratic takeover of the Trump administration," Gasparino said, Lifezette reported.
