Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are running on a platform that is "about destroying jobs," Sen. Kelly Loeffler said on Monday while slamming Harris' comments blaming President Donald Trump for mishandling the coronavirus pandemic and harming the economy.
“Look, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden don’t know the first thing about creating jobs,” the Georgia Republican said on Fox News' "Fox and Friends" about the Democrat nominees. "President Trump created the strongest economy in our history. We had jobs that were record highs for African-Americans, Hispanics, women, 20-year highs for veterans, wages were rising at the lowest end of wage earners.”
Sunday, Harris, D-Calif., told CNN that the economy is only recovering for the rich, while "working people are suffering," and that he has failed and is "incompetent when it comes to addressing the severe job loss that has happened as a result of the pandemic because he has failed to address the pandemic itself."
Loeffler called that "ludicrous" considering the Democrats' ticket is more about killing jobs and raising taxes.
“We’re going to rebuild that economy through President Trump’s America First agenda," said Loeffler. "The Green New Deal would wipe out our energy independence and our energy jobs. They would create the slowest recovery in history. Even slower than the Biden-Obama recovery in 2008 and 2009.”
She also slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who told MNSBC Sunday that Trump is trying to discredit the election and voters.
"This is another fake controversy created by the Democrats and I think Americans are tired of it," Loeffler said. "The most important thing is that we have free and fair elections. That's what everyone is focused on and we don't need the noise from them creating another controversy."
