Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said he wants to know the sources of Democrats' small dollar donations because it "seems to be an endless spiral."

Graham told The Hill that ActBlue, the Democratic Party's fundraising channel, should report information about donations under $200.

"Where's all this money coming from ActBlue coming from? How easy would it be to just have a bunch of pre-paid credit cards?" Graham said.

"Some of these shadowy figures out there running ads, is there any foreign influence afoot?

"Where is all this money coming from? You don't have to report it if it's below $200. When this election is over with, I hope there will be a sitting down and finding out, 'OK, how do we control this?' It just seems to be an endless spiral."

The Hill reported that ActBlue raised $1.5 billion in small donations during the third quarter of this year. Under campaign finance rules, people who donate under $200 can remain anonymous.

Graham is in a tough fight to hold onto his Senate seat as Democrat Jaime Harrison takes in significantly more money — $57 million in the third quarter, compared to the $28 million Graham raised during the same period.

ActBlue told The Hill that it does report information regarding small donors. The news outlet reviewed Harrison's fundraising records and found that donations under $200 are tallied, but they do not contain information about who gave the money.
