A Democratic congressman from California took to Twitter Saturday to question whether President Donald Trump needed a "mental health exam" after he ripped a federal judge for blocking his refugee executive order and slammed The New York Times for coverage of his administration.
Rep. Ted Lieu, 47, who was first elected in 2014, posted these tweets:
In a Twitter tirade earlier Saturday, Trump ripped U.S. District Court Judge James Robart in Seattle for blocking last week's order preventing refugees and travelers from seven majority-Muslim countries from entering the United States.
The president also bashed the Times as "lost" after the newspaper reported Friday that he remained closely tied to the Trump Organization.
Lieu, who also praised Robart for his ruling, served in both the California State Assembly and Senate and is a colonel in the Air Force Reserve. He was born in Taiwan.
