The center-left wing of the Democratic party is “dead… mute,” and has "nothing to say," conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer declared Wednesday.
In remarks on Fox News' "Special Report With Bret Baier," Krauthammer singled out the analysis of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., in the aftermath of the Tuesday special election loss in Georgia of Democrat Jon Ossoff.
"She said 'we have to get our message out,'" he said of the House Minority Leader. "They don’t have a message. This is the same reason that Hillary [Clinton] lost.”
And though Krauthammer conceded the left wing of the Democratic party has a message, it's one that'll fall short, he said.
The center-left, however – represented by leaders like Pelosi and Clinton – is done, he asserted.
"It’s dead. It’s mute. It has nothing to say," he said.
"So having nothing to say, they have now fixated on [President Donald] Trump. It’s all on the resistance. What they learned last night is that is not enough. That isn’t enough to energize people."
