Kellyanne Conway Calls on Biden to Unseal Senate Records

Former Vice President Joe Biden should have his Senate records that are being kept at the University of Delaware unsealed and allow them to be examined for any reports against him that may have been filed by Tara Reade, the former Senate staffer accusing him of sexual assault, presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway said Friday.

"He should unseal them anyway," as a presidential candidate, Conway said on Fox News' "America's Newsroom," after Biden told MSNBC's "Morning Joe' earlier that the records would be at the National Archives, if they exist, and not at the university, where his records have been sealed.

The Archives Friday morning denied it would have Reade's complaint on file.

Conway also slammed "feminists on the left" for saying women should be believed when making claims of sexual assault in cases such as that of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, but not in Reade's case.

"Believing all women means all women, not just based on who they are, what their station in life is, whether they have a college degree, it doesn't matter," said Conway. "When you said believe all women, there is no asterisk."

But Biden's denial of Reade's claims Friday morning means should not be taken as the end statement in the case, said Conway.

"If it's open and shut now because Joe Biden says it's not true, you are silencing so many more women," Conway said. "In our culture thank God it is different now than it was back when Tara Reade says Joe Biden allegedly assaulted her . . . women feel more free to come forward. They feel they can talk to law enforcement."

Conway noted that there also is corroborating evidence in Reade's case, as she told her mother and neighbors, and her mother called CNN several years ago to speak with the then-talk show host Larry King about what her daughter had said.
