Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., a frequent antagonist of Republicans, will make her decision whether to run against President Donald Trump in 2020 over the holiday season, she said Saturday night.
"It's a very serious decision," Harris told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski in San Francisco, according to NBC News. "And over the holiday, I will make that decision with my family."
Harris' husband was in the audience, per the report, and she expressed an awareness of what a potential first woman, first Indian American, and first black woman president would mean.
"Let's be honest, it's going to be ugly," Harris said of the 2020 race, per the report. "When you break things, it is painful. And you get cut. And you bleed."
