Romney: US Amb Huntsman's 'Clear-Eyed Resolve' Is 'Badly Needed'

Mitt Romney on Thursday congratulated Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman on his confirmation as U.S. ambassador to Russia, lauding his "badly needed" experience and "clear-eyed resolve."

Huntsman, formerly the U.S. ambassador to China and Singapore, was confirmed by the Senate earlier Thursday.

Huntsman had endorsed Romney when he ran as the GOP nominee in 2012, arguing Russia was America's foremost adversary.
