Sen. John Walsh of Montana has postponed at least two upcoming events in Bozeman on a day in which his campaign would not answer questions about whether he planned to remain in the U.S. Senate race.
Billy McWilliams of the Gallatin County Democrats said Tuesday the Walsh campaign postponed a Wednesday backyard meet-and-greet hosted by Women For Walsh and a Friday talk about public lands.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle first reported the postponements.
Walsh has come under pressure amid allegations that he plagiarized a 2007 research project while attending the U.S. Army War College. The editorial boards of Montana's three largest daily newspapers have called for him to withdraw his candidacy.
Walsh spokeswoman Lauren Passalacqua said in an email that the campaign planned to make no statements on Tuesday.
