Ohio Gov. John Kasich has moved to the lead in the Michigan GOP primary race, according to a new
ARG poll.
The latest standings among likely Republican voters:
• John Kasich: 33 percent
• Donald Trump: 31 perent
• Ted Cruz: 15 percent
• Marco Rubio: 11 percent
Kasich trailed Trump 17 percent to 35 percent in mid-February, but saw his standing increase after Thursday's GOP debate in Detroit where he positioned himself as the adult in the room who refused to participate in the name-calling between the other three candidates.
Kasich has yet to win a primary, though Michigan does vote Tuesday. His home state votes on March 15.
The poll talked to 400 likely Republican primary voters and has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 5 percentage points.
