North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven has announced on Facebook that he is endorsing Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for president.
"President Trump is strong on the issues that are important for North Dakota," Hoeven said in a post on Tuesday. "That includes making America energy dominant, reducing the regulatory burden, securing our border, growing our economy and strong support for our military. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with President Trump to support our farmers, and he truly understands how vital strong farm policy is to our state and our nation."
The endorsement comes days after North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum suspended his campaign for president. Earlier in the week, North Dakota's other representative in the upper chamber, Sen. Kevin Cramer, also announced his endorsement of Trump, WDAY Radio reported.
