John Gizzi, Newsmax's White House correspondent, says the campaign manager of outgoing House Majority Leader Eric Cantor may be a prime candidate for the Donald Sterling treatment.
"Eric Cantor launched an attack on this little-known opponent, calling him 'a liberal college professor,' which was ridiculous,'' Gizzi told "The Steve Malzberg Show'' on
Newsmax TV.
He was referring to Dave Brat, the candidate who soundly defeated Cantor in the Virginia Republican primary last week.
"That just inflamed his supporters," Gizzi said Monday. "I was saying recently that when one spends $5.4 million and loses to someone who spent $200,000, the campaign manager should get the same punishment Donald Sterling did from the NBA: being barred from the game of political consultant.''

Seton Motley, founder of Less Government, who appeared on a Newsmax panel with Gizzi, said that while the issue of immigration reform and Cantor's perceived embrace of it helped doom him, there was more to it.
"So did his response to Brat's charges where he said he was against any form of amnesty, which was totally disingenuous and turned off a lot of people in his district who knew better,'' Motley said Monday.
