Democratic presidential campaign dropout Jim Webb has hired former Draft Biden national finance director Sam Jones to lead a fundraising operation – the latest signs signal the former Virginia senator is mulling an independent White House run.

"We are so pleased that Sam Jones is coming on board to help us examine what is now the decisive issue: how to pay for it."
The Dallas fundraiser built a national network of donors last year to try to boost a Biden presidential bid; Biden nixed a run
last Oct. 21.
Webb's team also said it has partnered with Aristotle, a political technology company, The Washington Times reports.
