Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona said Tuesday he'd support John Kasich over Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz, who is steadily holding second place.
"Kasich's still there," Flake told reporters. "If I were Kasich I'd do exactly what he's doing: get to the convention with some delegates."
"It's not over yet," he said.
When Bloomberg Politics asked the senator if he'd prefer the Ohio governor to Trump or Cruz, he responded swiftly: "Yes."
Asked if that's an endorsement of Kasich, Flake laughed and said, "No." The senator previously endorsed Marco Rubio, who dropped out after losing his home state of Florida on March 15.
