A judge on Friday held a witness in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation in contempt of court for refusing to appear before a grand jury, The Washington Post reports.
Andrew Miller had fought and lost a court battle earlier this month to crush a subpoena compelling him to appear, but he has still refused to testify.
Miller, is a former aide to longtime Trump confidant and ex-adviser Roger Stone.
Mueller is probing Russian interference in the 2016 presidential race and whether any members of the Trump campaign assisted.
The Post says Stone has been under scrutiny in part because of a statements and tweets he made during the campaign “appearing to suggest he had advance knowledge of hacked Democratic emails released by the group WikiLeaks.”
