Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., on Wednesday was shaken by the passing of radio host Rush Limbaugh, hailing him as a "great conservative American" who influenced a generation.
Told of Limbaugh's death after battling lung cancer during Newsmax TV's "John Bachman Now," Comer shook his head sadly.
"Leaders like myself grew up listening to Rush Limbaugh," Comer said. "He's certainly had an influence on a lot of members of Congress of my generation. And certainly our thoughts and prayers with his family."
"He certainly was a great conservative American, and made a huge difference in spreading the message of truth," Comer continued.
"I was a great fan and am very saddened to learn of this."
