The mobile app used to collect and report the Democrats' caucuses results in Iowa is set to be used in Nevada later this month, CNN is reporting.
Nevada holds its caucuses on Feb. 22.
Software issues were part of a series of problems leading to the Democratic Party's decision to hold off releasing the results from Iowa on Monday night, according to CNN.
Officials from various precincts told the news network they had issues with the app and reporting problems. However, others said the software performed as designed.
Polk County Democrats chairman Sean Bagniewski told CNN that tests of the app last week did not go entirely smoothly. And he had informed precinct chairs who had problems with the app to call in the results to the Iowa Democratic Party.
The Iowa Democratic Party blamed the delays on a "coding issue in the reporting system" that it said has since been fixed.
"As part of our investigation, we determined with certainty that the underlying data collected via the app was sound," Iowa Democratic Party chairman Troy Price said, according to NBC News. "While the app was recording data accurately, it was reporting out only partial data. We have determined that this was due to a coding issue in the reporting system. This issue was identified and fixed."
