The Trump administration is drilling down on spending within federal agencies, including given scrutiny to $5.5 billion in funding by the Department of Interior, Axios reported.
Secretary Ryan Zinke sent a memo to his agency saying he wants to have a better grasp on how Interior disseminates the more than $5 billion annually to achieve its "mission delivery," Axios reported.
Any grants and agreements that exceed $100,000 are now getting vetted by the president's administration before proceeding, Axios reported.
