Fox News personality Greg Gutfeld criticized some of his fellow hosts on Fox News Channel for not being tough enough on Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
Following a Sunday night town hall event with Trump in Wisconsin that was hosted by Greta Van Susteren, Gutfeld took to Twitter to mock the questioning and to say he doesn't expect things to be much tougher for Trump Monday night in a similar event hosted by Sean Hannity.
Trump has gotten tougher questioning in recent days, but it came from MSNBC's Chris Matthews and CNN's Anderson Cooper. Matthews got Trump to say he would favor
punishment for women who have abortions if abortion ever becomes illegal.
Trump later walked back that statement. And Cooper accused Trump of sounding like a 5-year-old when Trump defended an unflattering retweet of Heidi Cruz by saying he didn't start it.
Gutfeld, meanwhile, has been talking recently about tensions within Fox News over Trump's candidacy, which has been divisive among Republicans as well.
"We as a show are facing internal strife, from a micro level to a macro level,"
Mediaite quoted Gutfield as saying last week on
"The Five," which he co-hosts.
"Look at 'The Five,'" he said. "On any given day, we have tension over this nomination, over this candidate. You can look at our network as a whole."
