Trump: 'So Much for the Big Blue Wave'

President Donald Trump touted Republican primary wins and congratulated the GOP’s John Cox for earning one of the spots in California’s gubernatorial election.

Trump’s comments came in a tweet on Wednesday, where he again referred to CNN as "Fake news."

Cox finished second in the California gubernatorial primary earning him a spot on the November ballot against Democrat Gavin Newsom. He had been relatively unknown in the state before Trump sent out tweets in support of him.
