Democrat Joe Biden took in nearly $400 million in September for his presidential campaign and has $432 million in cash just weeks ahead of the election.
The Wall Street Journal noted that Biden's campaign raised a record $383 million last month, $203 million of which came from online donations. The large cash infusion is allowing the former vice president to give a final jolt to his campaign ahead of the Nov. 3 election.
Biden's campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon said Biden's team now has $432 million in the bank.
The money raised was a multi-pronged effort that involved Biden's campaign and several fundraising committees funneled through the Democratic National Committee. In August, Biden raised $364.5 million, a record that topped President Barack Obama's haul of more than $190 million in September 2008.
According to the Journal, Biden has taken in close to $890 million over the last three months.
The fundraising numbers were reported as millions of Americans have already voted, either through early, in-person voting or by filling out mailed ballots and returning them to state elections officials.
