The whole idea of a quick budget process is to put into motion the immediate repeal of Obamacare, but the House Freedom Caucus wants more information on what the budget will look like before they vote on it, Politico reports.

House leadership wanted the budget done by Jan. 20, the day President-elect Donald Trump gets sworn in; the Caucus is saying — not so fast.

"We need to slow down the process so we can understand a little bit more the specifics," Caucus chair Mark Meadows, R-N.C., was quoted by Politico on Monday night.

"Without specificity… we would be inclined to encourage a delay on that vote."

This is the tea party crew, members who never met a budget they thought was austere enough.

But a delay to the budget vote would beget a delay to Obamacare repeal, which could beget backlash from Trump, who has made the repeal of president's signature act a good place to start in razing everything Obama.

Further, their Republican counterparts in the Senate have already begun steps necessary to dismantle the Affordable Care Act.

Congress will, "as its first course of action, vote to repeal Obamacare. It cannot happen soon enough," Sen. Rand Paul said.
