'Fox & Friends': White House Hypocritical on Women's Issues

The hosts of "Fox & Friends" on Fox News said the White House is hypocritical on women's issues.

"You know what Jay Carney's wife should be offended about —would be the fact that Barack Obama's White House pays men more than women," Steve Doocy, co-host of the morning show, said.

"The 'War on Women' starts at the White House . . . . Women in the White House, in this White House make less than men do. Are they talking about that? No," Doocy said.

Doocy referred to comments made by Carney, press secretary for President Barack Obama.

Carney said he was "offended" by the question asked by Fox News White House correspondent Ed Henry whether Obama is emphasizing the minimum wage and overtime pay because it's an election year.

"Every woman in here ought to be offended by that. I'm offended by it on behalf my wife and my daughter," Carney said in response.

"Fox & Friends" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck said that the other women's issue practice that the White House should be offended by is the one taking place in Vice President Joe Biden's office.

"They should be equally offended that the vice president asked them to step out of the workplace when they have a baby and just take some time off, and who needs that job anyway?" Hasselbeck asked.

"I find that offensive that Jay Carney expects us to buy that he was offended," said co-host Brian Kilmeade. "Was he actually offended, or was he just trying to fend off another Ed Henry question?"
