Six in 10 respondents in a new CNN poll released Tuesday said Russia special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation was a serious matter.
Fifty-eight percent said Russia's involvement in the 2016 presidential election should be probed, while 36 percent said the inquiry was merely an effort to discredit President Donald Trump.
However, on a different subject, 62 percent approved of Trump's plan to meet with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un by May, versus 31 percent who disapproved.
Here are the results of the survey of 1,014 adults, conducted between Wednesday and Saturday:

- A serious matter that should be fully investigated? 58 percent.
- An effort to discredit President Donald Trump's presidency? 36 percent.

- Disapprove: 49 percent.
- Approve: 43 percent.
Do you approve or disapprove of the way Mueller is handling the Russia investigation?
- Approve: 48 percent.
- Disapprove: 35 percent.
Do you think Trump is doing enough to cooperate with the Russia investigation?
- No: 55 percent.
- Yes: 40 percent.
If Trump is asked to testify under oath for the Russia investigation, should he?
- Yes: 75 percent.
- No: 19 percent.
Do you approve or disapprove of President Trump's decision to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un?
- Approve: 62 percent.
- Disapprove: 31 percent.
The CNN survey has a margin of error of 3.7 percent.
