  • 51% of Americans say they trust statements made about the virus by Dr. Fauci.
  • 49% of Americans say they trust their states’ governors.

Republicans are more likely to trust Trump with 69% of respondents, who identity as  members of the GOP, saying they trust the president on coronavirus. Republican respondents trust of Fauci was logged at 32% and trust in the CDC totaled 38%.

According to the poll results, Republicans and Republican-leaners are less likely to trust their states’ governors. Forty-nine percent said they do not trust their governors on the pandemic, compared to 41% who do trust their state’s leaders.

On the flip side, Democrats are more likely to trust Fauci and the CDC. Seventy-eight percent said they trust Fauci on the pandemic, while 76% trust the CDC.

Democrats or Democrat-leaning respondents are also more likely to trust their governors than Republicans. Sixty-three percent said they trust their state’s leaders.
