Independent Candidate Evan McMullin Labels Trump as 'a Racist Brand'

Donald Trump has been labelled "a racist brand" by independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin.

"Donald Trump is a racist," McMullin said in an interview with the Texas Tribune in Austin.

"Trump is a racist brand. We need to call a spade a spade, and any American leader needs to stand up for equality in this country."

McMullin, a former chief policy director for the House Republican Conference and a former CIA operations officer, also ripped the Republican Party for not standing up to Trump despite the GOP establishment's resistance against him.

"Because of that, I question the Republican Party as a politically viable movement for the conservative movement, for true conservatives like me, and I question whether it can be a viable vehicle for American leadership," McMullin said.
