A California college coed faces up to a year behind bars for allegedly stealing a "Make America Great Again" cap from a fellow student.
Edith Macias, a student at University of California in Riverside (UCR), was charged with one misdemeanor grand theft after she allegedly yanked the Donald Trump campaign hat off the head of Matthew Vitale, The College Fix reports.
When campus staffers urged her to return it, Macias said, "Oh my God, you’re going to keep letting him wear it? That just shows how the f*** UCR is and the education system. It’s geared to benefit white people, white people, not me …" according to The Federalist.
"Make America Great Again? Really? Lynches, mass genocides, mass deportations. Constant killings, and y’all are just gonna shut the f*** up?"
Vitale, who decided to press charges against Macias, told The College Fix: "I’m very pleased that the DA decided to charge her, especially because I am skeptical that UCR student conduct did anything. I will be following up with the student conduct office to determine if anything was done."
