Trump Slams Press for 'Fake News' on Traffic Jams Created by Low Oil Prices

By    |   Wednesday, 21 November 2018 09:32 PM EST

President Donald Trump slammed the news media on Wednesday, saying the press was blaming him for traffic jams ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

"You just can’t win with the Fake News Media," he wrote. "A big story today is that because I have pushed so hard and gotten Gasoline Prices so low, more people are driving and I have caused traffic jams throughout our Great Nation. Sorry everyone!"

Earlier, the president said oil prices were getting lower and thanked Saudi Arabia for the shift – prices plunged to the lowest this year before recovering slightly on Wednesday.

"Oil prices getting lower. Great! Like a big Tax Cut for America and the World. Enjoy! $54, was just $82. Thank you to Saudi Arabia, but let’s go lower!" he tweeted.
