President Donald Trump will play a round of golf with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at his private Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., he told Jim Gray during an interview on Westwood One Sports Radio Sunday.

"We're going to have a round of golf, which is a great thing," Trump said. "That's the one thing about golf — you get to know somebody better on a golf course than you will over lunch."

When asked by Gray whether Abe was a good golfer, Trump replied, "I don't know. I know he loves the game and we're going to have a lot of fun. I'm just going to make sure he's my partner."

Trump said Abe would also visit him at the White House ahead of their golf outing and that he was looking forward to building on the United States' relationship with Japan.

"If we are able to get along with other countries, that's a good thing, not a bad thing," said Trump when asked to clarify his positive remarks on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I want to get along with all the countries."
