President Donald Trump and Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., have made amends after their very public social media spat in October, Politico reports.

The pair have reportedly bonded over what they perceive to be unfair treatment by the press and the GOP tax bill, and Corker on Monday joined Trump on an Air Force One flight to Nashville for a speech at the American Farm Bureau Federation's annual convention.

Their spat started over the summer when Corker criticized Trump's response to the deadly violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Corker, who is retiring this year, then laid into the president during an interview with The New York Times, where he said Trump's recklessness threatened World War III and that he was distressed about having a president who acts "like he's doing 'The Apprentice' or something" and treating the White House like a "reality show."

The president then bashed the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee for begging him to endorse him for re-election in 2018, and tweeted:

Corker has since dialed back the criticism, and has had discussions with Trump about the tax bill, which he initially opposed then reversed his position and backed it.

The senator is reportedly working to make changes to the Iran deal through new legislation in Congress and will likely need the president's support.
