DOJ Prosecutors Weigh Searching Biden's Rehoboth Home

Department of Justice prosecutors are weighing searching President Joe Biden's home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, after the FBI found classified documents at his other Delaware home in Wilmington, according to Fox News.

While searching the president's Delaware home, the FBI recovered a fourth batch of misplaced documents, according to CBS. On Friday, DOJ and FBI officials conducted a more than 12-hour examination of Biden's Wilmington home.

The DOJ "took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the president's service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as vice president," said Bob Bauer, Biden's personal attorney.

The DOJ has not issued any warrants for the searches. The consensual search of the Wilmington home was agreed to by Biden's attorneys and was coordinated by U.S. Attorney John Lausch. He has maintained a prominent role throughout the probe while special counsel Robert Hur gets up to speed.

The first batch of documents allegedly was stumbled upon by Biden's personal lawyers at the Penn Biden Center on Nov. 2.

The revelation spurred Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel, which led to tapping Hur for the role.

Meanwhile, Republicans on Capitol Hill are scrutinizing the investigation. On Sunday, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., said there may have been a "cover-up."

"This has all the pattern of an influence-peddling scheme, and it also has the makings of a potential cover-up," Comer told Fox News on Sunday. "Five different locations at least. Who knows what those personal attorneys have been doing? And when you look at all the things that our investigation is covering with respect to the influence peddling, there's a lot of connections with the CCP [Chinese Communist Party] directly to both Hunter Biden, Hunter Biden's uncle Jim, and Joe Biden."
