While the liberals will attempt to entertain Americans with the celebrities at their Democratic National Convention this week, President Donald Trump will protect the country through strong governance and positive action, former presidential adviser and campaign consultant Dick Morris told Newsmax TV.
This week's convention will include John Legend, Kerry Washington, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Billie Eilish, and others. When asked whether it was a smart move to make this political event such a Hollywood production, Morris was blunt.
"Who else do they got, Biden? If that's your product, you'd better jazz it up somehow with some Hollywood celebs going all around it. I think Michelle [Obama] is a good stroke," Morris told Monday's "Spicer & Co."
Morris continued, "I think basically it's going to be a very dull convention."
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has been working to improve the country during the coronavirus pandemic by addressing needs that have impacted Americans, Morris said.
"The president is not just running around the country making speeches, he's making news," Morris told host Sean Spicer. "I mean this guy in the last two weeks has covered pre-existing conditions on health insurance, reduced prescription drugs through executive orders, created an exemption until the end of the year through the payroll tax, expanded unemployment benefits, expanded the relief from evictions, expanded the forgiveness of student loans, all by executive orders, in the last 14 to 20 days."
Morris added, "And God knows what he's going to do this week. This is a president who's not just campaigning, he's governing."
