Detroit Elections Worker Says She Was Instructed to Change Ballot Dates

A Detroit city worker who was assigned to the election has sworn in an affidavit that she and others were ordered to change mailing dates on ballots and observed supervisors "coaching" voters to cast ballots for Democrat Joe Biden.

Jessy Jacob, a longtime city worker, signed the affidavit in a lawsuit by the Great Lakes Justice Center – which says it focuses on freedom of speech, religious liberty, and sanctity of life, among other issues – on behalf of two Michigan voters.

"Why aren't you worried about these irregularities?" GOP chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, a Michigander, scolded defiant reporters at a Trump campaign briefing Monday. "If you have an election worker told to backdate ballots, that's a problem.

"What we are seeing is deeply alarming," she added in an impassioned rejection of media's skepticism of Trump campaign fraud claims.

When pressed again for evidence of illegal voter fraud, McDaniel reminded the media of the claims filed in affidavits and lawsuits.

"I think I just went thought that with you: With someone backdating ballots? That's called illegal," she said, adding delivering evidence to the media reluctant to do its own investigations will take time.

"That's going to be an investigation process, but somebody was told you need to backdate ballots to make them legal, ballots that were illegal under the law."

Still, a CNN reporter called the claims a "conspiracy theory."

"Listen, how is it a conspiracy theory when a whistleblower in the city of Detroit is saying, 'I was told by my supervisor to lie and to backdate ballots. This is somebody protected under the law. There's no conspiracy there."

The lawsuit in Detroit claims ballots were forged, voters were coached to cast ballots, dates were changed on absentee ballots, people were allowed to vote in person and cast an absentee ballot, ballots were counted for which there was no registered voter, and tens of thousands of ballots arrived late, all for Democrat Biden.

"The suit states Wayne County election officials allowed illegal, unlawful, and fraudulent processing of votes cast in last Tuesday's election," the Great Lake Justice Center wrote Sunday in a release. "Numerous witnesses have filed sworn affidavits under oath attesting to the fraudulent activities they observed directly. These acts disenfranchised lawful voters and potentially changed the outcome of the election."

The suit asks the election results be voided and a new election ordered.

"As you guys can understand, with 2,800 incident reports, this is a lot to track down," McDaniel told reporters at the briefing. "It means we're interviewing these people, we're getting their statements and we're turning into affidavits. But that takes a lot of time and effort."

She added a call for media to look into allegations of fraud or political bias in ballot counting and permitting legal monitoring.

"We should all be alarmed by this, no matter where you are on the political spectrum," she said.

"Democrats and the media want to ignore these clear irregularities and rush to call states as won and end the certification and canvas process," she continued.

"We're hearing we need to unite, we need to come together," she added, referring to Democrat Joe Biden's pre-certification, pre-concession, acceptance speech.

"Even one instance of voter fraud should be too many for all of us. We intend to ensure that every lawful voter has their vote counted in accordance with the law. That observers are granted the access that they are due under state law, and that any irregularities that have occurred – whether by malicious intent or incompetence – are investigated to the fullest extent allowed under the law."

McDaniel also called out Democrat and media complicity in hypocrisy.

"If the shoe was on the other foot, if it were this close the other way, if President Trump was in the lead in all these states, the media would be screaming: 'This isn't over; the race isn't over. We need more time to count to make sure it's right.'

"But because it's Biden in a very slight lead, the media demands that the race is over and there's nothing to see here. The American people need to have confidence in their elections."
