Attorney General Jeff Sessions dismissed a claim there is widespread fear of police in minority communities, and taunted a woman who said guns were more lethal than pot, calling her "Dr. Whatever Your Name Is," a video released by ABC News shows.
ABC News reported the video came from a summer intern lecture series event June 22 that featured Sessions taking questions for 25 minutes from college students working at the Department of Justice.

In the video, when a University of California, Berkeley, law school remarked he "grew up in the projects to a single mother, and the people who we are afraid of are not necessarily our neighbors but the police," Sessions shot back: "Well, that may be the view in Berkeley, but it's not the view in most places in the country."
Another student who attends Washington University's law school in St. Louis asserted "statistically, guns kill more people than marijuana does," asking Sessions why there are "lax laws on one and harsh laws on the other?" the video shows.
Sessions laughed, and responded the question was one of "apples and oranges" — but rejected the idea that marijuana is harmless.
"Marijuana is not a healthy substance, in my opinion," he said. "American Medical Association is crystal clear on that. Do you believe that?"
The woman hesitated and said, "Uhh, I don't."
"OK. Dr. Whatever Your Name Is, you can write the AMA and see why they think otherwise," Sessions told her.
A Justice Department spokeswoman, in a statement, said the event allowed students "to have robust conversations — even debates — about the challenges facing our country with the attorney general," adding the department is "proud to provide hundreds of law students and undergraduates the opportunity to work with some of the finest lawyers in the country," ABC News reported.
