Some Democrats are so fed up with their party leadership that they are looking at ways of removing Nancy Pelosi from her post as House minority leader.
According to Politico, the movement is spearheaded by three lawmakers: Reps. Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., Seth Moulton, D-Mass., and Tim Ryan, D-Ohio. The group met Thursday to discuss their dilemma.
Democrats are still reeling from Hillary Clinton's loss in the presidential election last year, and this week Democrat Jon Ossoff lost in Georgia's special election to replace former Rep. Tom Price — who is now secretary of Health and Human Services.
Ossoff's defeat has Democrats scratching their heads and searching for more answers, particularly because they spent tens of millions of dollars on the losing effort.
Ryan ran for the position of House minority leader last fall but he fell short.
Pelosi spoke out Thursday to address calls for her to step down as party leader in the House chamber.
"When it comes to personal ambition and having fun on TV, have your fun," The Hill reports Pelosi as saying. She was referencing other Democrats speaking their mind on news shows.
"I love the arena, I thrive on competition, and I welcome the discussion. But I am honored by the support."
In a separate Politico story, Rep. Filemon Vela, D-Texas, blasted Pelosi and said she was one of the reasons why Ossoff lost to Republican Karen Handel.
"I think you'd have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top," Vela said. "Nancy Pelosi is not the only reason that Ossoff lost. But she certainly is one of the reasons."
