The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) took in more than $11 million in May, which included 360,000 first-time donors giving money online.

According to a DCCC press release, the group raised roughly $11.3 million during the month. Of that, nearly $3.3 million was brought in via online donations.

"The outpouring of support from grassroots donors is further evidence that Democrats are unified behind the goal of taking back the House," said DCCC Chairman Rep. Ben Ray Luján, D-N.M.

"While it's clear that Democrats will be outspent by Republican dark secret outside groups, California demonstrated that the DCCC will not be out-organized or out-worked in the midterms."

The average online donation in May was $17, according to the release.

The DCCC has taken in more money during this election cycle than it did leading up to the 2016 election, as the group brought in $8.08 million in May 2016. Fundraising numbers at this point in 2018 are at $56.7 million, compared to $41.5 million in 2016.

At this point in the 2018 election cycle, the DCCC has raised $162.2 million — compared to $109.8 million at this point in the 2016 cycle.

In April of this year, the DCCC raised $11.1 million. It took in $105.5 million in all of 2017.
