Cruz Super PAC Gets Record $15 Million From Billionaire Brothers: CNN

By    |   Saturday, 25 July 2015 12:48 PM EDT

Billionaire brothers Farris and Dan Wilks, who made their fortune from fracking in West Texas, have donated $15 million to Keep the Promise, a super PAC backing Sen. Ted Cruz's bid for president, CNN reports.

The contribution — the biggest known donation in the 2016 presidential race — makes up nearly half of the super PAC's $38 million fund, the news network says.

The donation hasn't been revealed publicly yet, said CNN, attributing its report to sources outside the super PAC who have knowledge of the gift.
