Poll: Crist Dominating Field in Fla. Senate Race

A new poll in Florida finds Gov. Charlie Crist dominating the field of contenders in the 2010 Senate Republican primary.

The poll, conducted by Strategic Vision, finds Crist with a commanding lead over Florida State House Speaker Marco Rubio by a wide margin of 59 percent to 22 percent.

Crist also has a crushing lead against Democratic candidate Rep. Kendrick Meek in the general election by a margin of 59 percent to 29 percent, while Rubio leads Meek 31 percent to 30 percent. Thirty-nine percent of adults polled are undecided.

The poll also showed Republican Bill McCollum edging out Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink in the gubernatorial race by a margin of 41 percent to 39 percent, while 20 percent are undecided.
