After his contentious congressional hearing before the House Judiciary Committee this week, Corey Lewandowski says he is more motivated than ever to run for the Senate in New Hampshire.

"No American citizen should have to go through what I had to go through, because you should never have to be disparaged or attacked the way that I was by these committee members because they didn't like my politics, because I voted and work for Donald Trump, because I am involved in the electoral process," Lewandowski told "The Cats Roundtable" on 970 AM-N.Y.

Lewandowski said he is "very, very seriously thinking about running" because of his treatment and because Democrats are considering holding him in inherent contempt of Congress.

"Let's not make any mistake about this, let's not mince words: They don't want me to go and run for the United States Senate in New Hampshire, because they know if I get in that race, I am going to win," Lewandowski told host John Catsimatidis.

"So this is an attempt to embarrass me, to stop me from running for that race, to create a TV commercial that they can use against me in the primary or the general election."

Lewandowski called out the double standard of Democrats and mainstream media.

"Could you imagine for one second if the Republicans attacked a Democrat the same way, and said the same things about them and their family that this committee has said about me and my family?" he said. "There would be a national outrage.

"But the Democrats have had an extension of their party, and it's called the mainstream media. And the media gives them a pass every single time when they call me a thug and a criminal and a hoodlum.

". . . When you attack a Trump supporter, it's OK. There are two different sets of rules. And the American people are tired of it. And I believe the people of New Hampshire, they want a fighter in the United States Senate. And I say this week was a clarification of that's who I am."
