President Donald Trump is considering bringing back former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski to "bring order" to bickering White House staff, as Politico reported.

According to Politico, a frustrated Trump is turning to trusted former advisers as he loses faith in his current team – and Lewandowski – pushed out as Trump's campaign manager in June 2016 after a power struggle with campaign chairman Paul Manafort – was spotted in the West Wing lobby Tuesday.

He declined to comment on whether he met with Trump in the Oval Office, Politico reported.

According to Politico, Trump floated the idea of bringing back Lewandowski, who earlier this month left his lobbying firm, Avenue Strategies.

For his part, Lewandowsi has told others Trump asked him to "bring order" to bickering White House staffers, Politico reported.

An unnamed source told Politico that Lewandowski is also talking about how he has helped "broker" conversations between the White House and possible new staffers.

Lewandowski denied the report, telling Politico: "I have never said the things you are reporting."
