Exit Polls: GOP Nomination Should Go to Candidate With Most State Wins

Republicans voting in three primary states Tuesday said that the presidential nomination should go to the candidate who has won the most state primaries or caucuses.

Here are the results of CNN exit polls in Connecticut, Maryland and Pennsylvania:

If no candidate has the required 1,237 delegates, who should the GOP nomination go to?

Connecticut:

• Top primary winner: 68 percent.
• Best candidate: 28 percent.

Maryland:

• Primary winner: 66 percent.
• Best candidate: 30 percent.

Pennsylvania:

• Primary winner: 70 percent.
• Best candidate: 28 percent.
