President Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., sound like an "Abbott and Costello" routine in their reluctance to having the GOP's Obamacare replacement plan billed as "Trumpcare" or "Ryancare," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, R-N.Y. said.

"It's 'Abbott and Costello': You put your name on it; no, you put your name on it," Schumer, a New York Democrat, said on the Senate floor Wednesday, the Washington Examiner reports.

He was referring to the beloved comedy team of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, whose famous word-twisting routines included "Who's on First?" and "What's Volts."

Schumer said Trump does not want his name on the bill despite saying he supports it in "daily tweets" and inviting Republicans to the White House "to try to sell them on it."

"His own press secretary says the White House is in full sell mode," said Schumer, who believes both Trump and Ryan are trying to duck being identified with the bill as it is fiercely criticized by conservatives and liberals.
