New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie asked delegates to the Republican National Convention Tuesday whether Hillary Clinton was "guilty or not guilty" for "coddling" the repressive Castro regime in Cuba.

"Guilty," screamed the delegates inside the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

During his speech, Christie drew on his prosecutorial roots to make the "case" against the presumptive Democratic nominee, citing the 2012 Benghazi attack, the Iran nuclear deal and the email scandal.

"Hillary Clinton supported concessions to the Castro brothers and got almost nothing in return for ending the embargo," Christie said regarding Cuba.

He noted that the Obama administration's move to increase diplomatic relations with Havana in December did not require the country to return Joanne Chesimard, who was convicted for killing a New Jersey State Police officer and wounding another in 1973.

She was sentenced to life plus an additional 26 to 33 years. She escaped from prison in 1979 and has been living in Cuba since the mid-1980s.

"I want to ask you, how could someone live with their own conscience when you reward a domestic terrorist with continued safety — and at the same time betray the family of a fallen police officer waiting for decades for justice for his murder?" Christie said.

But in an obvious change from 2012, Christie immediately praised nominee Donald Trump — something he did not do for Mitt Romney.

"I'm here tonight not only as the governor of New Jersey but also as Donald Trump's friend for the last 14 years," he said at the start of his speech. "We are about to be led by not only a strong leader, but by a caring, genuine, and decent person.

"I'm proud to say that the voice of the people of our nation is being heard tonight — and those voices want Donald Trump to be the next president of the United States."

Christie came under strong attack for spending too much time touting his own credentials rather than discussing Romney during his 24-minute speech at the GOP convention in Tampa.
