Fallout from Jon Ossoff’s loss in Georgia for the highly coveted 6th Congressional District seat has some Democrats pointing the finger at House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, including singer Cher.
Cher tweeted Wednesday the "GOP runs against" Pelosi in every race in response to tweets by Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., who said the Ossoff race, "better be a wake-up call for Democrats – business as usual isn’t working. Time to stop rehashing 2016 and talk about the future."
Republicans ran ads depicting Ossoff as a "yes man" and a "puppet" for Pelosi, who hosted a fundraiser for the 30-year-old candidate. Karen Handel, who won the seat to replace Tom Price, also aimed to link him to Pelosi.
"Republicans are motivated," Handel said on Monday. "They do not want someone who lives outside of the district coming in and representing them. And they surely don't want Nancy Pelosi's guy coming in to try to buy this seat."
